"Echos of the Past" this show will feature Historic Sites and Scenes of Old Key West by artists in the Keys. Art will be displayed at Women's Club April 3 - 5. The art is for sale and proceeds will benefit both the Art Center and The Key West Woman's Club.

Alex Vega, a veteran Key West Fireman, will give a presentation at the KWWC about the Historic Fire of 1886. Please follow up with a visit to the Fire House Museum. This is a great museum for children and adults! And it's open 10am to 5pm everyday!
12:00pm - 2:00 pm, April. 3, 4, & 5 The Red Barn Theater Tour Witness an actual production being built, and learn the history of one of Key West's most prized cultural institutions. The Red Barn was once a Carriage House! It pre-dates the Hellings Curry Museum home of the Key West Woman's Club, and the Hard Rock Cafe building.

1:00pm - 2:30pm Historic Tours of America Trolley Tour. Join us as we journey through the colorful streets, stopping at the iconic sights that have shaped Key West's vibrant culture and rich history. Additional tour information given by P.J. Eaton of the Key West Woman's Club.
Stop 1: The Monroe County Library where Historian Dr. Corey Malcolm will give a presentation on the history of the Key West Woman's Club.
Stop 2: The Historic American Legion Hall, in Bahama Village, where Director Nancy Moulton will give a brief presentation about the importance of this American Legion Hall in Key West. There are two drop off locations:
Eco-Discovery Center & the original pick-up location on Caroline Street where you can walk to The Truman Little White House (ticketed cost at gate)
Wednesday, April 2
4:00pm The Tropic Cinema, will have a special 'Opening Night' on Wednesday, April 2, the day before Day 1 of the Key West Historic Days Celebrations' formal opening. The Tropic Cimena will be showing, REAP THE WILD WIND, written by Thelma Strabel. She was so enamored with Key West and its history that in 1940 she bought a house in Key West. Dr. Malcom, Historian of our Key West Library, the Monroe County Library has supported the Tropic Cinema Historic Key West Film Series with a grant. He will introduce the Historic Key West Film Series. Dr. Marlene Thorn will then introduce the week’s events of the Historic Days Celebration.
