4:30 - Open the Evening  Dr. Marlene Thorn (Festival Director and Vice President of the KWWC) welcomes you and will present an overview of Key West Historic Days and the main topics of the event.  She will also introduce Sarah Fowler - Benediction.

4:45 - 5:15 - Women Get Things Done  Key note speaker Susan Mitchell (past President) will introduce the history of the KWWC 110 years ago. Why we came together and all of the accomplishments ie. Library, Cookbook, Garden, HARK....  

Susan will introduce an historic video of the KWWC along with Nance Frank, a descendant of the five original German and English families that settled in Key West, will speak and answer questions. 

5:30 - 5:15 - Panel Discussion The Historical context of the Hellings Curry Museum  with a history of genealogy of Captain Hellings and Eleanor Curry and their families.   Moderated by the KWWC President Aundrea Wagner, research by Wendy Purcell and a decendent - Clinton Curry.

Celebrate the 110th Anniversary of the Key West Woman's Club.  Sample recipes from the newly revised Key West Womans Club Cookbook prepared by Historic Tours of America, Key West Cooking School and Martha Hubbard Williams Hall, Executive Chef.

Bringing back the elegance and charm of an afternoon high tea to celebrate the Key West Woman’s Club 110th Anniversary. Enjoy from a fine selection of teas, finger sandwiches and delectable sweets, including scones, fruit tarts, macaroons, and other extraordinary delights. Share in this oh-so-lovely tea time event with old friends and meet new ones!

A family-friendly Ghost Tour exploring the history of Curry Houses, concluding with a Treasure Hunt for all participants.

"Flavors of the Past: Exploring Key West's History Through Its Culinary Heritage"

These panelists will take the audience on a journey discovering the history of Key West through its food, which is shaped by Caribbean, Floridian, and Cuban influences. The exploration of the dishes of Key West will reveal the island’s deep ties to its immigrant past and seafaring traditions.

Raised in her Cuban grandmother’s Key West kitchen, and armed with a business degree, Analise Andrews pursued a career in the food industry by starting Key West Food Tours in 2014, and later becoming the Executive Director for Tru Bahamian Food Tours in Nassau, Bahamas in 2018. Both award-winning food tours offer visitors a taste of authentic local culinary experiences while providing historical anecdotes on a 3-hour walking tour. 

Dr. Cori Convertito is the Curator & Historian for the four museums of the Key West Art & Historical Society, as well as an adjunct instructor of American History and Humanities at The College of the Florida Keys. In 2026, she will be curating an exhibit funded by the Florida Humanities Council to work with the Smithsonian on narratives of local history seen through the lens of food. 

Martha Hubbard is the culinary curator at Williams Hall in Key West, and the executive chef at the Unity Table, whose mission is to share the joy of food. Her cooking workbook, “Old Island Eats,” combines her love for traditional Key West recipes, her years of experience cooking, and her joy in feeding friends. Living in Key West since 2001, she has worked at 915, Louie’s Backyard, and Isle Cook. She is also an accomplished photographer.

Moderator: USA Today bestselling author and clinical psychologist Lucy Burdette aka Roberta Isleib has written 24 novels, including the latest Key West mystery, A Poisonous Palate. A Clue in the Crumbs, the 13th book in the series, won the Florida Book Award’s gold medal in popular fiction. Her series features a Key West food critic, solving murders on the side. Lucy Burdette’s Kitchen, a collection of recipes and stories from the Key West mysteries was published in July 2024.
