The Tropic Cinema, will have a special 'Opening Night' on Wednesday, April 2, the day before Day 1 of the KWWC formal opening.  We will be showing, “Reap the Wild Wind” with an intro by Dr. Malcolm and also Marlene Thorn, who will introduce the week’s events of the Historic Day Celebration. Time to be determined. to off the Celebration. This will be part of the Tropics “Historic Key West Film Series.” supported by a grant from the Key West Library and introduced by Dr. Cori Malcolm of the Library.

The Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary federally protects the country's only barrier reef.  Visit the ECO-Discovery to learn more!  This event is most appropriate for children and adults.

We will offer a more casual visit with  display stations related to Key West and a guide to answer questions.

Historic site of the Grotto will offer a lecture about the accomplishments of women during the history of the Grotto and it's relationship to the Basicilla.

Alex Vega, a veteran Key West Fireman, will give a presentation at the KWWC about the Historic Fire of 1886.  Please follow up with a visit to the Fire House Museum.  This is a great museum for children and adults!  And it's open 10am to 5pm everyday!

This show will feature Historic Sites and Scenes of Old Key West (works by artists in the Keys).  Art will be displayed at Women's Club April 4 - 6.  The art is for sale and proceeds will benefit both the Art Center and Woman's Club.  

The event is free
